As a leader in the graphics industry, Orora Visual considers how our business decisions impact the planet every day: from sustainable practices executed at all of our print production facilities to recommending sustainable options for your marketing materials, signage, displays and packaging. Being sustainable does not always equate to costing more. It often just makes good business sense.

Sustainable Printing and Sourcing

Orora Visual is proud to have been awarded these prominent certifications after completing some pretty strict standards and evaluations of our practices: FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council), SFI® (Sustainable Forestry Initiative), and SGP (Sustainable Green Printing) Partnership certifications.

Orora’s suppliers are vetted for their conservation and reduction of carbon footprint efforts. We invite our customers to be responsible environmental stewards as well by offering eco-friendly print processes and a variety of more sustainable substrates to choose from.

Inks:

UV inks used on digital, offset and screen presses, which are naturally low VOC
Soy inks (bio-ink) available for offset presses

Paper and Corrugate:

By nature, paper substrates are biodegradable and recyclable
Post-consumer recycled content
FSC and SFI certified paper suppliers

Plastics:

Polystyrene with recycled core
Polypropylene with 100% recycled content
Polyethylene with 25% recycled content
Expanded PVC with recycled content

Polyester Fabrics made of recycled content up to 100%

PVC Free Banner material comparable to vinyl in outdoor applications

Backlit Films made of polypropylene

Window Graphics made of recyclable polyester (low tack and no tack)

How We Care for the Environment

At Orora Visual, we take the environment very seriously - it’s fundamental to everything we do.

We have developed pro-active initiatives in key areas with a focus on building robust, responsible and respected operations that create customer value and operational value for our company.

4G recycling program in place to sort, compact and recycle our used/excess waste. In 2020, Orora Visual reduced our waste to landfill by 3,800 tons
Green E Certification: 100% renewable energy via solar power and wind energy in our Clifton, NJ and Chicago, IL facilities
Implemented three global Eco-Targets to support our commitment to minimizing our footprint by decreasing our CO2 emissions, waste to landfill and our water usage by 5% by the year 2024
